Every year the Chaturdashi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is celebrated as Anant Chaturdashi. On this day the Ganesh festival ends and Ganpati, who is enshrined in the house, is given a farewell with pomp and he is immersed. Due to the immersion of Ganapati, many people consider this day to be the day of worship of Ganapati. But in reality this holy festival is of worship of Shri Hari. This time Anant Chaturdashi is falling on Sunday, September 19.

On this day the infinite form of Narayan is worshipped. On this day, worshiping Narayan by law and his fast gives freedom from all kinds of troubles. It is believed that fasting on this day leads to the attainment of renewable virtue i.e. never ending virtue. In Dwapara Yuga, when Pandavas were wandering in the forest after losing everything in gambling, Lord Krishna advised them to keep fast on Anant Chaturdashi. It was only after this that the clouds of trouble began to clear from him and he got back all his rights by ending the Kauravas. Know the auspicious time and fasting method of worship on this day.

On this day, Chaturdashi date will start from 6:07 am on 19th September 2021, till 5:30 am on Monday 20th September 2021. The best time for worship is from 11:56 am to 12:44 pm. Since 19th is the Chaturdashi date of the whole day, worship can be done at any time except Rahukal. On September 19, Rahukal will remain from 04:52 to 06:22 in the evening.

fasting method

Wake up early in the morning and take a bath and resolve the fast. After this sanctify the place of worship by cleaning it and sprinkling Gangajal. Put a vase there. Place a picture of Lord Vishnu lying on the bed of Sheshnag on the Kalash. Place an infinite thread with fourteen knots in front of the picture. After this, worship Lord Vishnu and Anant Sutra with the mantra Om Anantaya Namah. Offer Roli, Akshat, flowers, incense-lamp to God and Anant and offer Kheer or any other sweet to God. After this, tie Anant in the arm. Keep fast for the whole day. After worshiping in the evening, break your fast.
