For Ashutosh Rana, character is more important than the length of a scene

Actor Ashutosh Rana, who starred in the psychological thriller Murder in Mahim, recently said that he is more concerned about the character than the duration of the play.

Ashutosh said, “As an actor, I’m more concerned with the character than the duration of a part. I just performed two very distinct character-driven plays for JioCinema in a span of only two weeks. I portrayed a composed but resolute individual in Murder in Mahim who goes about things his own way. I don’t think it’s vital to play the same role repeatedly. You have to understand yourself before you can really comprehend a character. I got to learn more about a different sort of person in Murder in Mahim. I always make an effort to give it my all and be loyal to the role on screen.

The show centering on the reunion of a broken relationship between Peter (Ashutosh) and Jende (Vijay Raaz) delves into a dark side of Mumbai and a horrifying murder. It is an adaptation of a Jerry Pinto novel.
