Class XII: Girls continue to dominate boys in the district

Once again, female students performed very well and achieved the highest rankings in the Central Board of Secondary Education’s Class XII examinations. This time, there are other schools whose kids have produced outstanding outcomes, not simply one or two where the children have excelled.

In the business stream, Avleen Kaur of Guru Nanak International Public School in Model Town received a score of 99.2%. With 99.2 percent of the possible points, she is tied for first place with Gunitinder Kaur, the humanities stream top scorer from Nankana Sahib Public Senior Secondary School in Budhewal, Ludhiana.

Three pupils, with a perfect score of 99 percent, are ranked second. These include Pratishtha (Financial Market Management) from Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School, Udham Singh, Jappan Kaur Cheema (Humanities) from DAV School, BRS Nagar, and Pratham Jain (Commerce) from MGM School, Dugri.

With 98.6% of the possible points, three students share the third spot as well. These are Dhruv Aggarwal (non-medical) from Ryan International School, Jamalpur, Niza Batra (commerce) from Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar, and Bhavuk Garg (commerce) from Kundan Vidya Mandir School.

Top performers by stream

Medical: Samaira Aggarwal received a score of 98.2 percent from Sacred Heart Convent School in Sarabha Nagar. She intends to become a surgeon and will pursue her MBBS at AIIMS, Rishikesh, or DMC, Ludhiana.

In the medical category, Yashvi Gupta of the BVM, Chandigarh Road, received 97.6%, while Harsimran Kaur of the BCM, Chandigarh Road, received 98%.

Non-Medical: Ryan International School in Jamalpur’s Dhruv Aggarwal received a score of 98.6%. He is getting ready for JEE (Advanced) and got an AIR of 2,352 in JEE (Mains). His goal is to go the IIT to study computer science engineering. Other top scorers were Medha Soni from Sacred Heart Convent School in Sarabha Nagar, Harmanjeet S. Malhi from Blossom Convent School in Jagraon, and Manmeet Kaur from BCM Arya School in Shastri Nagar, who received 98 percent of the possible points.

Commerce: Avleen Kaur received a 99.2% grade from Guru Nanak International Public School in Model Town. She intends to become a chartered accountant and is studying a BCom and CA at GTB College, Dakha. Other top scorers in the stream are Niza Batra from Sacred Heart, BRS Nagar, and Bhavuk Garg of the KVM School, who received 98.6% of the possible points, and Pratham Jain (commerce) from MGM School, Dugri, who scored 99 percent.

Humanities: Gunitinder Kaur had a score of 99.2%. She attends Budhewal’s Nankana Sahib Public Senior Secondary School. She aspires to become a judge and plans to pursue a BA LLB at PU, Chandigarh. Other high scorers include Ved Bhatia from Greenland School, Jalandhar Bypass, with 98.2 percent of the possible points, and Jappan Kaur Cheema from DAV School, BRS Nagar, with 99 percent.

FMM: Pratishtha received a score of 99% from BVM Udham Singh Nagar. She aspires to become a CFA and pursue a BCom with honors. The other top scorers are Bhoomi and Gunn from BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, with 97.8% of the possible points, and Anayra from BCM Arya School, with 98.4%.

Food production: BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar’s Deeksha Aggarwal

has earned a grade of 95.4%. Her goal is to attend Symbiosis University to pursue interior design.
