Why is red such a popular tint among makeup artists?

The colorred’ is often associated with refinement, glamor and class, whether it is via the classic pout of Marilyn Monroe or the fiery kisses of Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Lighter cosmetic colors like peaches, pinks, and nudes are popular right now because of “natural” and “subtle” makeup trends. But according to famous makeup artists, the timeless “red lipstick” will always be in style.

Red lipstick has lost some of its appeal in recent years as beauty trends have shifted to more natural and understated looks. People are embracing simplicity and bringing out the best in themselves with softer, more natural hues, according to Penaz Mithuji, a makeup artist for famous people including rapper Divine, the late Irrfan Khan, Vidyut Jammwal, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Aparshakti Khurana.

Because the epidemic “has led to a focus on eye makeup rather than bold lip colours,” it has also dealt a cruel blow to lipstick aficionados.

When Mithuji sees red’s “bright” future, she speaks without holding back.

“We’ll see a revival of red lipsticks since classic trends have a tendency of making a comeback.”

On-screen or off-screen, Bollywood celebrities who are considered trend-setters also prefer natural shades over bold red lips. Nonetheless, celebrity makeup artist Amrin Mukhi points out that many people use the color, including Deepika Padukone and seasoned actress Rekha.

“Red lips will always be in style! According to Mukhi, who has collaborated with Esha Gupta, Shehnaaz Gill, Kritika Kamra, and others, “this glamorous, seductive, and classic trend has had many takers, from Marilyn Monroe to Elizabeth Taylor to the ‘Material Girl’ Madonna to our very own Rekhaji and Deepika Padukone, and the list has them all.”

“Depending on the looks we are creating and the color palette we are playing with, we do try some very stunning variations in the bold mouth trend, like deep berry or beautiful browns with rich undertones,” the woman said.

What, therefore, makes red such a popular color among makeup artists?

It has a “timeless appeal,” according to Kinchangthui Bariamtak, who has performed magic on a number of celebrities, including Ed Westwick, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Leone, and Taapsee Pannu, as reported by IANS.

It also gains a certain force and attraction from its link with the color of blood. In the domain of beauty and fashion, it’s unquestionably a timeless option. It can never go out of style and never will.

The well-known Kin, Kinchangthui, revealed that lighter colors may be chosen based on personal desire, trend, and adaptability.

M.A.C. Cosmetics India National Artist Saikat Chakraborty is certain that red lips will never go out of style. But there are good reasons why people are choosing natural colors these days.

“It’s like one of those trends that never goes out of style, but for many people’s personal style, red can be an intimidating or bold color; naturally, people are leaning towards nudes or peachy/pink neutrals this season,” Chakraborty added.

“Versatility,” according to Chakraborty, is the reason why nude lips are so fashionable. She also notes that they are simple to wear for regular events.

“Especially for its adaptability when it comes to matching it with ensembles and other focal elements of the face; for instance, a bare lip combined with a smokey eye balances the appearance, and imagine the same with a red lip – a blaring bold look,” he said.

“People can easily incorporate nude lips into their everyday outfits, office attire, red carpet looks from the 1990s, movie dates, and almost anywhere else. Additionally, people can customize the level of nudeness based on their skin tone and personal preferences.”
