With the help of her spouse, a Tamil Nadu girl went from being a teenage bride to being an IPS officer

Tamil Nadu native Nambika had several challenges along the way to her eventual triumph, but she persevered through them. She was married off to a police officer at the early age of 14. She had two children when she became a mother at the age of 18. Her dream remained intact despite her circumstances, and she started on the road to success.

Her spouse honoring the IPS officers at a Republic Day parade marked the beginning of her IPS adventure. She was tremendously motivated to become an IPS officer by this. She attended a private school for her tenth and twelfth grades before completing her graduation via remote learning.

According to other sources, she had to relocate from her birthplace of Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, to Chennai in order to be ready for the Civil Service test. The absence of a Civil Service test preparation center in the municipality led to the decision.

Her spouse, who assumed the duty of raising their kids, fully encouraged her ambition to become an IPS. Ambika was able to focus solely on her studies and be ready for the UPSC test thanks to it.

Her spouse gave up on her after she failed the test on her first three tries. She persuaded him to give him one more opportunity, despite his request for her to return the family. After overcoming her previous challenges, Ambika was eligible to take the test in 2008. Further details indicate that she is now assigned to Mumbai as a DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police).

Ambika claims that she concentrated on taking notes and routinely reading newspapers while she studied for the test. She advises using a single source for preparation instead of consulting many to be ready for the various test portions.
