Workshop arranged

Jalandhar: At the St Soldier Institute of Hotel Management College, chef Akhil and chef Saurabh led a course on oil-free cuisine. The specialists instructed the kids on how to cook a variety of foods without using any oil in order to stay healthy. Using a variety of ingredients, chefs Saurabh and Akhil made samosas, mixed pakora, chilla, and dahi-wala-paneer that delighted everyone. Present were Kirti Sharma, the activity incharge, Manish Gupta, Vikas Sharma, Shubham, Raman, Gagan, and Ravi. Vice-Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra and Group Chairman Anil Chopra commended the kids’ idea and encouraged them to continue doing experiments.

College of Mehr Chand Polytechnic

Five Mechanical Engineering students—Satyam, Sonu Kumar, Puneet Kumar, Arvind Kumar, and Harshveer Singh—were chosen for campus placement at Mehr Chand Polytechnic College by Soccer International Pvt Ltd. They will receive an annual compensation package of Rs 1.80 lakh for training and more than Rs 2.5 lakh upon completion of the program. Jagroop Singh, the principal, commended the pupils.

Public State School

The pupils of grades Nursery through 12 at State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, were warmly welcomed to the new session. Principal Savina Bahl was present during a special assembly held to formally welcome all of the pupils. There was a welcoming dance and cake cutting ceremony for the kindergarten friends. The parents were greeted by Principal Bahl, Vice-President Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, and President Dr. Narotam Singh.

College of Lyallpur Khalsa

The Punjabi Sarv Kala Sahit Academy Trophy was won by the gidha squad of Lyallpur Khalsa College during the gidha tournament. Dr. Jaspal Singh, the principal, congratulated the team and said that consistent effort, self-control, and discipline produced positive outcomes. He said that the institution will continue to assist its students and expressed gratitude for the team’s efforts.

The college gidha team, according to Dr. Palwinder Singh, dean of cultural affairs, achieved a unique distinction by winning the Punjabi Sarv Kala Sahit Academy Trophy, the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, zonal and interzonal youth festivals, and the District Youth Festival organized by Youth Affairs, Government of Punjab, all in the same session. He continued by saying that the team had earned a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for coming out on top in the Phillaur tournament. The college gidha team praised the college administration for giving them these opportunities and attributed their accomplishments to the team in charge.
