A 22-year-old humanities graduate who had tried suicide two days before passed away while receiving treatment here, authorities said on Wednesday.
According to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ishwar Singh, the lady, Sajni Saini, passed away while receiving treatment at Kota’s MBS Hospital on Tuesday night.
After the post-mortem on Wednesday morning, the police gave the lady’s corpse to her family and filed a complaint of unnatural death under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, according to him. The woman lived in Parvati Colony, which is within the jurisdiction of the Railway Colony Police Station.
Police said that Saini hung herself in her room on Sunday night from the ceiling fan.
She was taken to a hospital where she was treated for two days after her family members discovered she was breathing.
The ASI said that Saini’s family claimed she was unhappy about her schoolwork and didn’t talk to them much.
He stated that no suicide note was found in Saini’s room and that the cause of the suicide had not yet been determined.
