3 US-based gangster’s aides are in the police net

Three members of the US-based mobster Gurwinder Singh, also known as Gurbaj, have been taken into custody by the Patiala police. According to the police, the accused who were detained were actively engaged in extortion, the trafficking of weapons, and other illegal acts.

SSP Patiala Varun Sharma provided information, stating that an operation was planned and a special squad led by SP (D) Yogesh Kumar and DSP Rajpura Bikramjit Singh Brar was constituted in response to an instruction from DIG Patiala Range Harcharan Singh Bhullar.

On Thursday evening, a police squad led by Inspector Harry Boparai, the Special Cell’s in-charge in Rajpura, stormed a location in the nearby Uksi Sainian hamlet and took the three suspects into custody. Recovered from them were three.32 caliber handguns, eight live rounds, and an automobile.

The individuals behind the arrest include Shamsher Singh, also known as Shera, from Sarai Amanat Khan in Tarn Taran, and Rohit and Gulshan from Nalas Khurd in Rajpura.

According to the SSP, the accused further informed the police that they had been assigned to assault members of the rival Goldy Dhillon Gang.

Based in Portugal, Rajpura-born Goldy Dhillon is a close associate of fugitive mobster Goldy Brar. He was the brains behind the January 19 fire incident at Sector 5 in Chandigarh.

At the Rajpura police station, the accused were lodged under pertinent provisions of the Arms Act and IPC.
