350 Voters Among This Assamese Man’s 1200 Member Family, Including 5 Wives, 21 Children, and 150 Grandkids

In the first round of Lok Sabha voting on April 19, over 350 members of the late Ron Bahadur Thapa’s family, who resided in Phuloguri Nepali Paam in the Sonitpur district of Assam, cast ballots. One of the biggest voting blocs in Assam is this family. Their region, Phuloguri Nepali Paam, is included in both the Sonitpur parliamentary section and the Rangapara assembly constituency.

The twelve sons and nine daughters of Ron Bahadur Thapa will cast their votes in the Sonitpur Lok Sabha constituency on April 19. Out of the approximately 1200 family members, around 350 will be standing in the next Lok Sabha elections. In addition, Ron Bahadur Thapa left behind almost 150 grandkids.

Furthermore, Ron Bahadur Thapa’s genealogy can be traced back to approximately 300 families in the Phuloguri Nepali Paam region. The son of Ron Bahadur, Til Bahadur Thapa, is the local headman of Nepali Paam village. He told ANI that over 350 members of his extended family are eligible to vote.

“In 1964, my father moved to this state to reside with my grandpa. We have twelve brothers and nine sisters, and my father had five marriages. By his sons, he has 56 grandkids. The grandkids on the daughter’s side are unknown to me. Approximately 350 members of the Thapa family in Nepali Paam are eligible to vote in this election. Our family would number more than 1,200 people in total if we include all of the offspring, Til Bahadur Thapa told ANI.

Til Bahadur Thapa expressed unhappiness that his family hasn’t benefited from the state and federal governments’ welfare initiatives despite their substantial presence and efforts.

“Our kids went to college, but they didn’t obtain government positions. A handful of our family members relocated to Bengaluru and worked for private companies. Some are wage laborers who work for a daily pay. Since 1989, I have been employed as a village pradhan. Til Bahadur said, “I have three daughters and eight boys.

It was reported by Til Bahadur Thapa that his father, Ron Bahadur, had reared nine girls and twelve boys. Another of Ron Bahadur’s sons, Sarki Bahadur Thapa, told ANI that of their family’s roughly 1200 members, around 350 are eligible to vote. In 1997, Ron Bahadur departed from this life, leaving behind a huge family. The sixty-four-year-old Sarki Bahadur had twelve offspring via three spouses.

Across nine assembly segments, there are more than 16.25 lakh voters in the Sonitpur Lok Sabha seat. Assam’s elections for the 14 Lok Sabha seats are slated to take place in three stages on April 19, April 26, and May 7.
