500g of heroin was found on the woman

At Mulekot village in the Lopoke region here today, the police apprehended the wife of a drug dealer and seized 500 grams of heroin, one revolver, six cartridges, and Rs 1.5 lakh in drug money. The culprit has been identified as Mulekot village resident Amarjot Kaur, who is the wife of Sikander Singh.

Senior Superintendent of Police Satinder Singh of Amritsar (Rural) stated that Attari DSP and SHO Lopoke police station received confidential information that Sikandar Singh, a resident of Mulekot village, and his wife Amarjot Kaur were obtaining heroin from Pakistan and supplying it to their contacts there. In order to cross the barbed wire barrier on the Indo-Pakistani border for agricultural purposes, they were able to arrange for a gate permit from the Border Security Force (BSF).

A police crew stormed Sikander Singh’s home in Mulekot village after receiving a tip. In the home was his spouse, Amarjot Kaur. She said that Sikander Singh had left for some employment when the police inquired about him. 500 grams of heroin, a revolver with six live rounds, and drug money totaling Rs 1,51,000 were discovered in the bedroom during the search of the property.

Subsequently, Amarjeet Kaur was taken into custody by the police, and a case was opened at the Lopoke police station under Sections 21-27(a), 29-25, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act. According to police authorities, Sikander is being arrested and there is an ongoing investigation into the situation.
