As students tried to show the contentious BBC documentary on Friday at Delhi University, a ruckus broke out. Police and the university administration intervened to put an end to the plan.

A significant police presence was maintained on the North Campus as 24 National Students' Union of India (NSUI) members were arrested from the Arts Faculty of Delhi University. The police were summoned, according to the university, to ensure peace and order because "outsiders" were allegedly attempting to view the documentary.
