A secret alliance meeting was held at Abdullah's residence regarding the killing of Kashmiri Pandit, Tarigami said - ban on the use of sticks
Srinagar. Security forces have avenged the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit by terrorists inside the Tehsil office in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces killed two Pakistani terrorists involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhatt within 24 hours. Meanwhile, there is news that after the killing of Kashmiri Pandit, the Gupkar alliance held a meeting at the residence of former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah.
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and Gupkar alliance spokesperson Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami attended the meeting held at Farooq Abdullah's residence. In this meeting, detailed discussion was held on issues like target killing, final report of the Delimitation Commission, upcoming assembly elections etc. Last month, information surfaced that Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are planning to contest elections together.
Farooq Abdullah had said that it is necessary for the Gupkar alliance to unite and come together so that the BJP and its 'B-Team, C-Team' can be taken towards the division of votes.
After the meeting, Mohd Yusuf Tarigami, spokesman of the Gupkar coalition, expressed grief over the lathi-charge by the police against the protesting people. He said that the Gupkar alliance has decided to meet Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. We will talk to him on various issues. He said that the lathis used on the people protesting against the killing of Kashmiri Pandit is regrettable. He had gone out to mourn with his complaint. This is regrettable.
He said that repeated use of lathis in Kashmir should be stopped and people should be trusted. Tourists will come here and Kashmiris have always welcomed them. We may be different in politics but in the tradition of brotherhood, every Kashmiri will play his role but the government will also have to look into his guild.
