A traffic advisory for Chennai was released ahead of PM Modi’s visit today: View the Complete List of Prohibitions

Chennai Traffic Advisory: The Greater Chennai Police (GCP) issued traffic restrictions in the city before to PM Modi’s visit to the area for the election campaign. Commuters were advised to adjust their travel schedules to prevent traffic jams. On April 9, at 6 p.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a visit to Chennal to take part in an election roadshow at Thiyagaraya Road.

Chennai Traffic Limitations: Verify the Times
Between 3 and 8 PM, commuters should avoid the areas surrounding the roadshow, including GST Road, Mount Poonamallee Road, CIPET intersection, 100 feet road, Anna Salai, SV Patel Road, Gandhi Mandapam Road, and the vicinity of T Nagar, as per the Chennai Police’s warning.

The Chennai Traffic Advisory states that Thiyagaraya Road is now a sterile zone and that driving is forbidden starting at 3 p.m.

Furthermore, until the end of the road show, parking is not permitted on Thiyagaraya Road, Venkata Narayana Road, GN Chetty Road, or North Boag Road.

PM Modi’s roadshow is anticipated to attract a gathering of party members, public figures, and political leaders.

The Chennai police have announced that starting at 3 PM, traffic on Thyagaraya Road would be restricted. The entire stretch of Thyagaraya Road, Venkata Narayana Road, G.N. Chetty Road, and North Boag Road will be designated as a no-parking zone until the roadshow is over.

CPT is heading for Gandhi Mandapam and the airport.
