According to AAP, the BJP is the only option for Assam

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Assam said on Sunday that the Congress cannot compete with the BJP in the Northeastern state since the people rejected it due to “misgovernance and corruption”.

The AAP distanced itself from the state’s Congress by claiming that it could not share a platform with such a party.

“In Assam, the Congress cannot compete with the BJP. After a meeting of the party’s state leadership, AAP media coordinator Jayanta Kumar Kalita said that the people of the state have rejected Congress because of its bad governance and corruption.

He said that the failure of the state to develop was the fault of both the Congress and the BJP.

In Assam, the AAP and the Congress have teamed up with 10 other “like-minded” parties to oppose the draught delimitation plan, among other things.

Regardless of their political membership, Kalita alleged the draught plan is an effort to safeguard the political future of people close to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The “secret friend” AIUDF of the BJP would also benefit, he said.

He said, “The administration has chosen to send a memorandum to the Election Commission in opposition to the draught plan.

According to Kalita, the conference also reviewed organisational issues, particularly those related to Lok Sabha and panchayat elections.

According to him, the party would engage the populace via the “Setubandhan” project in order to learn about their ambitions and find potential candidates for the elections.

The party established a 16-member committee to manage the Lok Sabha election preparations.
