According to Home Minister Amit Shah, the Modi administration gave women 27 billion Mudra loans

According to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday, the Narendra Modi administration has given 27 crore Mudra loans to women business owners who have “womanly force” and have boosted the Indian economy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) on April 8, 2015, as a program to provide loans of up to Rs 10 lakh to non-corporate, non-farm small and micro companies.

Shah claimed in a series of tweets that Prime Minister Modi does not simply celebrate womanhood and that in the nine years of women-led development, it has become a reality where women have broken down barriers in all spheres of life, from space to start-ups to defense to domestic affairs, and have elevated the country to new heights.

“Changing the fundamental principles of growth, PM @narendramodi Ji has unveiled a #9YearsOfWomenLedDevelopment period for the whole world to awe at. India set a record for disbursing 27 Cr. Mudra loans to female business owners, who now provide the Indian economy a boost with their feminine strength, he added.

Under PMMY, the loans are categorized as MUDRA loans. Commercial banks, regional rural banks, small financing banks, microfinance organizations, and non-banking financial institutions all provide these loans.

The borrower may contact any of these lending organizations or submit an online application using the website www.udyamimitra.in.

To represent the stage of growth, development, and financial requirements of the beneficiary micro unit and entrepreneur, as well as to serve as a reference point for the subsequent stage of graduation and growth, MUDRA has developed three products under the auspices of PMMY: “Shishu,” “Kishore,” and “Tarun.”
