After Mamata attends the G20 dinner, Congress and the TMC will clash

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, was questioned by senior Congressman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury about her choice to attend the G20 gala dinner given by President Droupadi Murmu and whether or not it would weaken her position against the Narendra Modi-led administration.

The leader of the West Bengal Congress was also interested to know whether there was “any other reason” for the Trinamool Congress (TMC) to attend the G20 dinner.

The TMC retaliated against Chowdhury at the same time, claiming that because Banerjee is a key figure in the INDIA bloc, he did not need to chastise her for failing to follow administrative process.

“Didi (Mamata Banerjee) traveled to Delhi a day before the dinner since several non-BJP CMs decided not to attend. She attended the event in the same room as Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

As reported by India Today, the Congress leader poked fun at her attendance at the event by saying, “Nothing would have occurred if she hadn’t attended the dinner. There would be no skyfall. Mahabharata wouldn’t have developed impure qualities. There would have been no impurity in the Quran.

Chowdhury said, “I wonder what made her hurry all the way to Delhi to attend the dinner party with these politicians.

on the dinner gathering that was slated on Saturday, the TMC leader landed in Delhi on Friday.

Chowdhury said, “Is there another justification for her attending the occasion? Santanu Sen, a TMC Rajya Sabha member, responded to his comments by saying that Mamata Banerjee is widely recognized as one of the builders of INDIA and that her dedication cannot be questioned.

Samik Bhattacharya, a spokesman for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said that the Congress and CPI(M) collaborated with the Banerjee-led TMC in Delhi against the saffron camp, misleading the state’s citizens who were “victims of the TMC’s terror”.

Is it possible that you were attempting to reach an arrangement when you were seen with the BJP State President at one award ceremony? Sen berated Chowdhury, “You first have to think that.”

Shehzad Poonawalla, a BJP spokesman, responded to Adhir’s remarks by posting on X, “Congress & I-N-D-I alliance. Shashi Tharoor praises the G20, Priyanka Vadra criticizes it. Adhir Ranjan criticizes Mamata for attending the G20 dinner when Congress chief minister Sukhvinder Sukhu was there! When you don’t have a vision or mission, this is what occurs. Just incoherent resistance and inconsistencies.

“The corrupt TMC in Delhi has teamed up with the Congress itself. The BJP has continued to speak out against the corruption of TMC politicians. They are being raided by the CBI and ED. The BJP is on the side of the Bengali people. Adhir Chowdhury and others should clarify who is genuinely cozying up to the TMC and harming the state’s citizens, according to Bhattacharya.

Banerjee’s trip, which was initially set to depart on Saturday, was instead rescheduled for Friday in light of the security precautions made for the G20 Summit in the nation’s capital.

Siddaramaiah, the chief minister of Karnataka, said that it was “wrong” that Mallikarjun Kharge, the national president of the Congress, was not invited to the G20 dinner.

“He (Kharge) is not only the president of the Congress; he also serves as the head of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha. “It is wrong not to have invited him, in my opinion,” Siddaramaiah told reporters in Hubballi.

He said that due to other obligations, he would also be unable to attend the event. Kharge and other opposition figures were not invited to the dinner, although President Murmu did invite Union Ministers and Chief Ministers, including those of states with opposition-controlled governments.

On Sunday in the nation’s capital, the G20 Summit came to a triumphant conclusion as Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the G20 leadership to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
