After the police stop his convoy, JSP Leader Pawan Kalyan lies on the road and gets detained

Late on Saturday night, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan’s convoy was halted by the police at the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana border close to NTR district. This was followed by a high drama and the JSP leader was placed in preventive detention.

“We have detained Kalyan and Manohar as a precaution. According to Janardhan Naidu, a Nandigama Sub-Divisional Police Officer, we are transporting them to Vijayawada. He would also not be brought before a court since the detention is solely preventative.

When the police halted the JSP leader’s convoy at a checkpoint in Garikapadu, he was on route to Vijayawada. Kalyan protested by getting out of his car when his convoy was halted and laying down on the road.

Numerous JSP employees arrived at the location to see his protest and staged a rally that blocked the route.

In a video posted by JSP leader Nadendla Manohar on social media, Pawan Kalyan can be heard inquiring whether he needs a passport or a visa to enter Andhra Pradesh.

In the early evening, Pawan Kalyan attempted to fly to Andhra, but the Krishna district police instructed airport officials to deny him permission to take his special aircraft to Gannavaram airport.

Earlier, Pawan Kalyan made a subtle jab at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, calling some situations “unfortunate in a democracy” and denouncing Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telegu Desam Party (TDP), who was detained in connection with an alleged case of corruption.

The actor-turned-politician made a subtle jab at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jananmohan Reddy while speaking to media on Saturday. He said, “The way the previous chief minister was detained today is unfortunate. We vehemently oppose the manner in which the state government and the governing party are carrying out arrests at the direction of one leader (CM Jagan).

The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) detained Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday in relation to an alleged fraud involving the Skill Development Corporation.
