Air India Express Will Run 292 Flights Because to A Shortage of Cabin Crew

A lack of cabin personnel has led Air India Express to cancel 74 flights. In order to lessen interruptions, the airline has responded by announcing that Air India would take over and run flights on 20 of its routes. The cancellations occurred after certain members of the cabin staff filed illness reports, allegedly in opposition to what they perceive to be airline mismanagement. Since Tuesday night, nearly 90 flights have been canceled as a result of this current development.

“Today, we have 292 flights scheduled. All of our resources have been gathered, and Air India will help us out by running on 20 of our routes. The airline released a statement saying, “But 74 of our flights are cancelled. We encourage our guests who have a reservation with us to confirm whether their flight is impacted by the disruption before proceeding to the airport.”

Air India Express has guaranteed that travelers will have the choice to get a complete refund or reschedule their trip at a later time without paying any additional costs in the event that a flight is canceled or delayed for more than three hours. This amounts to around 20 percent of the airline’s daily planned flights, with 74 flights canceled.

According to reports earlier in the day, the airline instructed some of the 25 cabin staff workers who had claimed to be unwell to come back for duty by 4 p.m. on Thursday or face firing.
