An immigration office and a sports manufacturing catch fire

Yesterday, there were two fire incidents recorded in the city. The first incidence happened at 11:30 p.m. yesterday at an immigration office close to BMC Chowk, and this afternoon, UMA Sports Factory, which is close to the Leather complex, reported another occurrence.

The sports factory caught fire in the afternoon and it didn’t go out until late at night. To put out the fire, some fifty fire fighters were sent to the scene. The sports goods manufacturer stored an enormous amount of rubber and combustible substances. Every worker at the factory was securely removed from the premises.

According to the police, initial findings indicate that welding operations on the factory’s top level may have caused the fire.

Late Wednesday night, there was a report of another fire at Vinay Hari’s travel agency. Passports and immigration files were among the many papers destroyed in the event, even though no one was hurt. A team of more than thirty firemen arrived quickly. It took the firefighters almost three and a half hours to put out the fire.

Hari, who asserts that he has lost crores of rupees, said that he was notified of the incident around 11:30 on Sunday night. At the time of the occurrence, there was a security guard on duty in the office. According to preliminary findings, a short circuit may have caused the fire to start.
