An IT company employee was arrested for a Rs 7L scam

An IT business employee who worked in customer care for a bank stole personal credit card information from 14 different consumers, resulting in a Rs 7 lakh scam. The employee has been detained by police after a formal complaint was filed against him at the Cyber police station.

Vinesh Malhotra, an executive with Tele Performance Global Service Pvt Ltd, filed a complaint alleging that Mohit Mishra, an employee of his firm, “stole” the credit card information of about 14 clients, including the CVV number and other details, between July 2023 and January 2024.

Using this, he stole Rs 7 lakh from their credit cards and had the money moved to other accounts, defrauding the bank. The sum was moved by the suspect to his own personal account, his father Ramesh Kant Mishra’s, his mother Sunaina Devi’s, and his relative Meena Devi’s.

The cops were sent by the corporation when they received information about client concerns. A senior police officer informed him that he was being questioned and that the relevant bank had received a notification requesting information about the accounts involved in fraudulent transactions.
