Andhra Pradesh: An Unidentified Man Stabbed BRS MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy During an Election Campaign

The head of the governing Bharat Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, was allegedly assaulted on Monday while campaigning for the party’s candidacy in the Dubbak assembly seat. The police claim that he was stabbed by an unidentified person in the Siddipet neighborhood.

After suffering stomach injuries, the member of parliament for the Medak Lok Sabha seat was sent to a local hospital. According to reports, his health is steady.

The incident happened in the Doulthabad mandal when Prabhakar Reddy, a BRS candidate running for the next assembly elections in Dubbak on November 30th, was doing campaign activities, according to police reports.

In television video, Prabhakar Reddy was seen sitting in a car and managing his stomach stab wound while trying to stop the bleeding.

Certain residents are said to have “beaten up” the individual who stabbed the MP.

“The attacker has been apprehended. N Swetha, the commissioner of police in Siddipet, told PTI, “We are checking his data.
