Amravati In Andhra Pradesh on Monday , the highest number of 37 patients died in a day infected with covid-19 , after which the number of people who died due to infection in the state rose to 365. In addition, 1,935 new cases of infection were reported in the state, which increased the number of infected to 31,103. The latest bulletin released by the Department of Medicine and Health said that a total of 19,247 samples were tested in the last 24 hours till 10 am Monday, of which about 10 percent of the samples were confirmed to be infected.
A total of 11,73,069 samples have been screened in the state so far, of which 31,103 people have confirmed infection. The rate of infection in the state is 2.65 percent. Anantapuramu district of the state recorded the highest number of deaths at six. Four patients each died in Kurnool, East Godavari and West Godavari districts, while three each died in Chittoor, Guntur, Krishna and Prakasam. Two deaths occurred in Kadapa and SPS Nellore districts, while one each died in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam in north-coastal Andhra Pradesh.
In fact, some of these people had already died but were pending approval by the Committee of Physicians. The committee announced these deaths in Monday's bulletin. In the last 24 hours, a total of 1,030 patients were discharged from the hospitals after being free of infection. A total of 16,464 patients have been cured in the state so far.
