This is not the first news of the officers joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, the list is long if we go out. Currently, the officials joining BJP are named Arvind Kumar Sharma and he is a 1988 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. He has recently taken voluntary retirement (VRS) from the post of Secretary, Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
IAS officer Arvind Sharma is considered very close to Prime Minister Modi. It is being speculated that Arvind Sharma will be given an entry in Uttar Pradesh's politics through the Legislative Council. Actually, Legislative Council (MLC) elections are going to be held in Uttar Pradesh on January 28. For this, 12 MLC seats are fixed. These include Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, State BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh and State BJP Vice President Laxman Prasad Acharya.
Considered close to Modi
Arvind Kumar Sharma is an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre and has been working with Narendra Modi ever since he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He has worked with Narendra Modi from 2001 to 2013. After this, when Modi became Prime Minister in 2014, AK Sharma also brought him with him to Delhi and he got the post of Joint Secretary in PMO. After this there was promotion and Sharma became Secretary.
Now soon he can take a big position in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Arvind Kumar Sharma comes from Uttar Pradesh, his house falls in Mau district of UP.
