Arvind Kejriwal Hearing: Delhi Liquor Policy Scam: AAP Accused, Says ED In SC | Updates

The Supreme Court was informed by the Enforcement Directorate on Friday that the Aam Aadmi Party has been charged in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scandal. As the top court was deliberating on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal against his apprehension by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to the Delhi liquor policy case, the investigative agency made its remarks.

A bench made up of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta is expected to wrap up the proceedings today, according to a Live Law article.

After hearing the ED’s arguments against the plea on Thursday, the court decided to let the investigative agency have 15 minutes for Kejriwal’s rebuttal on Friday and 45 minutes for its own.

ASG Raju, representing the investigation agency, told the high court that the prosecution has filed a case today accusing the AAP of being involved in the liquor policy fraud.

Justice Khanna questioned, “How do you prove?” ASG Raju said, “Those kickbacks were sent through hawala.”

Justice Khanna inquired again, “Where have you given in your reasons to believe?” ASG Raju said, “In the grounds of arrest.” We haven’t offered any cause for conviction.
