As per CM Siddaramaiah, Basavanna’s image was displayed at all government offices on February 17

On February 17, Basavanna’s photo would be displayed in every state government office, according to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The pictures will be unveiled by the respective chairpersons of all urban and rural organizations, MLAs at the taluk level, and district in-charge ministers at the district level.

He was addressing during the Vidhana Soudha Conference Hall’s presentation of the painting of Sri Jagajyoti Basavanna, a prominent figure in Karnataka culture. Basavanna was just named Karnataka’s cultural leader by the state government. “Basavanna put a lot of effort into eradicating inequality and ensuring that everyone lived with dignity,” the CM said.
