Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Bharat Parv today. The event is slated to take place from January 23 to January 31. The event, which starts at 5:00 PM and highlights the work of 26 Ministries and Departments, aims to highlight the nation’s rich variety via Republic Day Tableaux and cultural displays.

Among other things, the emphasis will be on presenting a variety of tourism destinations, encouraging “vocal for local,” and publicizing citizen-centric projects. The event will take place in Madhav Das Park and Ram Leela Maidan, which are located in front of the Red Fort.

Bharat Parv-Advise on Traffic
As with previous editions, this Bharat Parv will include, among other things, Republic Day tableaux, Armed Forces bands, cultural presentations by state/Union Territory troupes and zonal cultural centers, a pan-India food court and crafts bazaar, and pavilions of state and central government agencies.

The first-ever event is scheduled for Tuesday, and it will be accessible to the public until January 31. VIPs and VVIPs are expected to visit the Red Fort at this time due to the high volume of guests anticipated, according to the alert.

Delhi Traffic Police posted on x, previously known as Twitter, saying, “From January 23 to January 31, 2024, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is organizing ‘Bharat Parva’ at Red Fort. There have been special parking and traffic arrangements planned. Please heed the advice.

Congestion is being avoided by diverting traffic from Chatta Rail Crossing, Subhas Park T-point, Shanti Van Chowk, and Delhi Gate in accordance with the regulations during the Bharat Parv period.

Traffic limits: The advice also said that Nishad Raj Marg from the Shanti Van crossing to the Subhas Park T-point and Netaji Subhas Marg from Chatta Rail Chowk to Delhi Gate may be subject to traffic limits, rules, or diversions.

Parking Facilities: The general public and guests may utilize the several pay parking lots close to Red Fort, depending on their requirements.

Guidelines for the Public at Large
1. Road Avoidance Advisory: People are asked to stay off of the roads or the sections where detours are in place, as well as the locations where the event is being held.

2. Travel Safety Advice: It is advised that travelers planning to the ISBT, the New Delhi, and Old Delhi train stations, depart early enough to account for any potential delays.

3. Recommendation for Public Transportation: It is suggested that people use the Metro and other public transportation options to get to the event. To get to the Red Fort, the closest metro stations are Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, and Kashmere Gate.

4. Parking Guidelines: To prevent obstructing regular traffic flow, the public is asked to park their cars exclusively in approved lots.

5. Security Vigilance: If someone spots an unfamiliar or strange thing or person under suspicious circumstances, they are also advised to report it to the local police or nearby officials.
