BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil of Maharashtra writes to deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis about threats from “allies.”

In a letter to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil accused some “ally partners” of using derogatory language against him and threatening to prevent him from moving freely in his former assembly constituency of Indapur, according to the news agency.

Nonetheless, Patil omitted from the letter the names of any BJP officials or coalition partners.

He is the former MLA from the Pune district of Indapur, who lost to Datta Bharne, the candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which had not yet split, in the 2019 state elections, according to reports.

Bharne is now with the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar-led NCP, which is an ally of the BJP in the Shiv Sena-led “Mahayuti” governing coalition in the state, after a rift in the Sharad Pawar-founded organization, according to reports.

“Under your direction, the Maharashtra Mahayuti administration is operating well. But in the letter published on X on Monday, the former state minister said, “I am being targeted in my own tehsil (Indapur) by functionaries of ally partners, who are making baseless remarks and using foul language against me in political congregations.”

In a letter to Fadnvais, the state minister of home affairs, Maharashtra BJP leader Patil said that he had received threats and that he had been informed that he would not be permitted to travel freely inside his own territory.

My safety is now a worry as a result of this. The item listed above is of a serious nature and needs your attention. The Maharashtra BJP leader said, “Goon elements should be reined in in a timely manner and concrete action should be taken in such matters.”

Prior to the general elections, Uddhav Thackeray, the president of Shiv Sena (UBT), harshly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, claiming that the governing party is misleading the public with its previous fraudulent promises, which it is now marketing as “Modi ki Guarantee.”

Speaking at a packed house in Panvel in nearby Navi Mumbai, Thackeray urged residents to vote in the upcoming elections to unseat Maval resident Shrirang Barne, the current member of the Lok Sabha who has defected to the Shiv Sena, headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

As the candidate of the united Shiv Sena, Barne won the Maval Lok Sabha seat in 2019 from Panvel, a taluka in the Raigad district. Following a rift among the group, Barne became a member of the Shinde-led camp.

“During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP leaders gave the public a number of broken promises. Presently, ahead of general elections, the same fraudulent promises, or jumlas, are being marketed to the public under the guise of “Modi ki Guarantee,” or “steadfast commitment.” The former chief minister of Maharashtra said, denouncing his buddy who had become political enemy, “The nation has never seen a party full of leaders who are outright liars,” according to reports.

Additionally, he raised the question of funds received under the PM CARES Fund during the coronavirus epidemic and said that there is still no explanation for their use.
