BJP's Khushbu Sundar Criticizes Air India: "No Basic Wheelchair, Had To Wait 30 Mins At Chennai Airport"

Actress-politician Khushbu Sundar criticized Air India on Tuesday, claiming that the airline lacked the basic amenity of a wheelchair for customers with knee injuries, forcing her to wait 30 minutes at the Chennai airport while wearing braces due to a ligament rupture. She said that it took Air India 30 minutes to arrange for a wheelchair to be provided by another airline.
Khushbu Sundar sent a message on Twitter that said, "Dear @AirIndiain you do not have a simple wheelchair to carry a customer with a knee injury. Before they could acquire a wheelchair leased from another airline to transport me in, I had to wait for 30 minutes at Chennai Airport with braces for my ligament tear. You can do better, I'm sure.
Sundar received an apology from Air India through Twitter, saying, "Dear Ma'am, we're incredibly sorry to hear about your experience with us. We will discuss this right away with our airport staff in Chennai.
It should be emphasized that Khushbu Sundar's accusations follow three instances of rowdy passenger behavior on Air India aircraft.
Prior to this, the airline had to pay fines when a customer on an Air India aircraft from New York to Delhi on November 26 of last year urinated on a female co-passenger.
On a trip from Paris to Delhi, ten days after the first incident, another allegation of a "drunk" male passenger reportedly "urinating" on a female passenger's blanket surfaced. However, after the passenger's formal apology, no punishment was imposed.
The event happened on a flight operated by Air India on December 6, and the pilot of the aircraft informed the airport's air traffic control (ATC) of the situation.
