Budget emphasizes "lovely Delhi" amid Centre vs. AAP controversy and "Missing Sisodia"

After two days of stalemate between the Union and AAP over the budget, minister Kailash Gahlot presented the budget with the subject of "clean, attractive, and contemporary Delhi" as his central topic. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said before the Budget that everyone in Delhi misses former minister Manish Sisodia but that his job would not be put on hold. Kailash assumed control of the finance ministry after Sisodia's resignation as a result of his incarceration in the alleged liquor scam. Gahlot said that Sisodia is the eldest brother and not like his older brother while introducing the Delhi Budget 2023.

Delhi will get the following in the Budget 2023:
1. Improvement and beauty of the whole PWD road network's 1400 km

2. Building 26 new flyover, underpass, and bridge projects in various Delhi neighborhoods

3. Building three distinct double-decker flyovers in conjunction with DMRC from Saket to Pul Prahladpur, from Azadpur to Rani Jhansi junctions, and from Bhajanpura to Yamuna Vihar

4. The introduction of 1600 new electric buses with zero emissions, including 100 feeder vehicles

5. Electrifying Delhi's 57 current bus terminals

6. The construction of 9 new bus depots, 2 multi-level bus depots, 3 world-class Inter-State Bus Terminals (ISBTs), and

7. Delhi will build 1400 new, contemporary bus shelters.

8. Action plan with six steps for a clean Yamuna

9. Eliminating Delhi's three waste mountains.

Budget for Education in Delhi, 2023
Education would get 16,575 Core in the 2023–24 budget of 78,800 crore.

The government will once again provide new tablets to all teachers, principals, vice-principals, and DDE in 2023–2024.

Each of the 350 schools run by the Delhi Government will get 20 brand-new laptops.

The Delhi Government schools will now provide instruction in French, German, Japanese, and Spanish in its Schools of Specialized Excellence.

Schools that will be known as Schools of Applied Learning will work in tandem with businesses to help kids gain professional skills.

Funding for Delhi to combat pollution
The Delhi Budget 2023 includes a new anti-pollution strategy that calls for the establishment of a real-time pollution data lab in each of Delhi's districts. 52 lakh trees will be planted, and there will be less road dust.
