The fact that capital spending increased by 102% in 2023–24 compared to 2018–19 is encouraging. Additionally, the revenue from excise and other taxes and non-tax sources has increased significantly. “Today, J&K is reaching unprecedented levels as the emphasis on extensive infrastructure development is directed towards fulfilling people’s ambitions and constructing Atmanirbhar J&K,” the speaker said.

He requested that top officials and administrative secretaries make sure that usage certificates are submitted on schedule. The Lieutenant Governor gave the departments orders to look into every avenue to increase income realization and to adhere to the administration’s austerity policies in order to reduce spending. According to him, all departments should create an integrated system for buying goods from MSMEs and self-help organizations.

The Lt Governor gave top officials from the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department, PWD (R&B), and administrative secretaries strict instructions to thoroughly monitor the status of the travel accommodations for PM Package personnel outside of the meeting.
