New Delhi. The CBI on Friday conducted searches at the residence of the Additional Director General of Shipping after a case was registered in connection with taking money of Rs 50,000 for allegedly delaying a case going on in the Gujarat High Court. Officials gave this information. A case has been registered against ADG Sandeep Awasthi after a complaint by CBI Police Inspector RS Gosain and preliminary investigation.
Awasthi is alleged to have taken Rs 50,000 from Prakash B Rajput for delaying filing of counter affidavits of DG Shipping in the Gujarat High Court . The agency had received information that Awasthi had allegedly demanded Rs six lakh from him. After this investigation of their activities was started.
