Cong calls KCR’s time as chief minister short when he makes disparaging statements about Indira Gandhi

In response to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s statements against former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the Congress on Thursday lashed back, claiming that although the leader has been insulted by a “arrogant and drunk with power,” the people of the state would never forgive him.

The Congress said that Rao is unable of accepting the end of his feudal and money-spinning venture and that his days as Chief Minister are limited.

Leading the charge, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the head of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for his remarks in a post on X, writing, “An egotistical KCR, intoxicated with power, has heaped insults on Indira Gandhi.” Telangana residents will never, ever forgive him for it. Justice, welfare, and development are the three pillars of Indiramma Rajyam, to which the Congress party is steadfastly dedicated.

K.C. Venugopal, the general secretary of the party, criticized the chief minister and said that the latter’s time in office was running out. He is having a hard time accepting that his money-spinning, feudal business is about to stop. He has targeted our dear Indira Amma out of pure desperation after their previous attempts to destroy the Congress and its senior leadership were unsuccessful.

Is he so naive that, having lived in his farm home for twenty-four hours a day, he has lost sight of the unique position Indira ji has in the hearts of all Indians? Is he really that subservient to his BJP superiors that he would criticize a previous prime minister who gave her life in defense of her nation? Venugopal enquired.

“KCR is fighting to save their own seats, as is his son. The Congress leader went on, “This election will mark the beginning of the end for BRS.”

The Chief Minister delivered a biting critique of the ancient party, citing the administration of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and asking, “Why do we need that regime when nothing good happened during that period?” The Congress responded with forceful language.

Speaking to a crowd at Wyra, Khannam district, KCR said, “Congress leaders are saying they will bring Indirama (Indira Gandhi) regime if voted to power.” Why is that regime necessary? Did anything positive occur during that time? SCs and STs have been utilized as vote banks, while the poor have remained impoverished. The circumstances facing the Dalits and Girijans would not have existed if they had performed well.

In the southern state, where elections are scheduled on November 30, the Congress has been severely criticizing the governing BRS.

To promote the party, Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have been touring the southern state on a regular basis.

The venerable party has already made a number of promises to the Telangana people and hopes to unseat the BRS by winning the 119-member Assembly.

On December 3, the votes will be counted.
