Congress Strategy Committee meeting on December 4, may decide on the Leader of Opposition

The meeting of the Congress Steering Committee will be held on December 4, in which issues related to the party's convention and organization are likely to be discussed. Party sources said that the meeting will be held under the chairmanship of party president Mallikarjun Kharge at the All India Congress Committee headquarters. Sources said, "In this meeting, the date of the party's convention, issues related to the formation and organization of the CWC, and the subjects related to the winter session of Parliament can be discussed."

Kharge, who was elected Congress president last month, had on October 26 formed a 47-member steering committee, which includes former prime minister Manmohan Singh and former party presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. This committee will continue to function in place of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) until a new CWC is formed after Kharge's election is confirmed at the party convention.
