Congressman Randeep Surjewala said, “Ujjain minor rape incident ashamed soul of entire Madhya Pradesh and country”

Randeep Surjewala, a Rajya Sabha member for the Congress, criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Shivraj Singh Chouhan administration over the minor rape incident in Ujjain, claiming it has dishonored the nation and all of Madhya Pradesh.

“The incident in Ujjain ashamed the soul of entire Madhya Pradesh and the country,” Surjewala said in a statement to ANI. Your government, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, should hang its head in humiliation (Aapki Sarkar Ko Chullu Bhar Paani Me Dhub Ke Mar Jana Chahiye).

“A young daughter was raped and was let to walk the streets of Ujjain for around eight hours while bleeding profusely, and your (CM Chouhan’s) administration paid no notice to it. The Congress leader enquired as to what was going on in Madhya Pradesh.

The protection and security of women in the state should be a priority, he told CM Chouhan.

“Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the BJP leaders can listen to the cries of the girls of Madhya Pradesh if they have any spare time from the celebration. Do you not hear the suffering of a little girl, 12 years old? He said, “The Chief Minister and BJP should hang their heads in shame.

He said that the girl had claimed that her mother had also experienced some kind of wrongdoing. So, according to Surjewala, “the mother was also raped, the daughter was also raped, and the state government was sleeping.”

He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accept responsibility for the Madhya Pradeshi girls’ demands that the culprits be taken into custody.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has to stand up and apologize to the Madhya Pradeshi girls. Additionally, the culprit should be detained right away. The victim should be treated, and the state authorities should also track down her mother, he said.

Surjewala poked fun at Narottam Mishra’s comment that he had asked the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Ujjain for information on the event.

“Unfortunately, Narottam Mishra, the state’s home minister, is the kind of guy who enjoys listening to Bollywood and Hollywood music, but when a 12-year-old girl is raped, she walks the streets for roughly eight hours while bleeding from her body, and Mishra is asking questions about it. Narottam Mishra would undoubtedly face punishment from the people of Datia, where he is an assemblyman, according to Surjewala.

Notbaly, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra stated in a statement to ANI on the case of the little girl who was raped in Ujjain, “I have asked for the details, we talked about this issue.”

In contrast, former chief minister Kama Nath said on X (formerly Twitter) that it was “heart-wrenching” to watch an instance of very brutal maltreatment of a little girl in Ujjain. Humanity should be ashamed of itself for the kind of rape that occurred to the 12-year-old girl and for the manner she went about the city in numerous locations while partially naked before passing out on the road. Such a horrifying event is a stain on society and the government.

Nath questioned the Chief Minister, writing, “Will you simply keep fighting elections and making bogus claims? Will you cover every hoarding in Madhya Pradesh with images of artificially intelligent daughters while ignoring the protection of young girls? Isn’t the daughter involved in this brutality a Ladli Lakshmi and Ladli Bahna?

“Earlier also, two young girls were brutally raped in Ujjain,” he said. The state’s history of heinous crimes against humanity demonstrates the breakdown of the rule of law in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh lacks a Chief Minister despite having a Chief Minister. The public is alarmed and the criminal is brutal.

Nath further said that he has asked the Chief Minister for harsh punishment for the offenders. The sufferer should also get appropriate care and Rs 1 crore in financial help.
