Kolkata. The Education Department of West Bengal is considering to include a text on the deadly virus in the school curriculum from 2021 as part of an effort to make students aware of Kovid-19 . An official of the curriculum committee said that state education minister Partha Chatterjee had recently raised the issue of dissemination of information about the nature of corona virus and measures to prevent the outbreak. Avik Mazumdar, head of the course committee, said, "We are organizing a discussion on this subject among members and experts."
Another official said that it is being considered to include lessons on corona virus in the curriculum of classes from small to large. He said that in the wake of the Kovid-19 outbreak, it is necessary to learn the basic methods and safeguards of cleanliness to prevent infection for small classes and to know the types of infectious disease and its mutants for the students of large classes. Majumdar said, "Apart from teachers and academics, it is also important for us to know the views of doctors, virus scientists, epidemics before deciding on the exact content of the lesson.
