Corona vaccination resumes after 2 days in Mumbai and Pune, 15 people have not reached anywhere in any center

National Desk: The covid-19 vaccination resumed in Mumbai and Pune on Tuesday morning after a gap of two days but there was no rush of beneficiaries to get vaccinated in these cities as on the first day. A doctor at a vaccination center in Mumbai said that the number of beneficiaries in the morning was small but gradually the number of people is increasing. Officials said the vaccination drive resumed at nine centers in Mumbai and 28 centers in Pune district. The Maharashtra government suspended the covid-19 vaccination campaign in the state on Sunday and Monday due to problems with the 'Co-Win' app.
The central government has created this app to manage registration for vaccination. The vaccination campaign against the Corona virus began on Saturday morning across the country. According to the Brihanmumbai Mahanagara Palika (BMC), only 1,923 of the 4,000 beneficiaries registered in Mumbai were vaccinated on Saturday on the first day of vaccination. According to BMC officials, the vaccination campaign started at around 9 am on Tuesday morning at all centers in Mumbai. However, there was no rush of registered beneficiaries in vaccination centers as on Saturday. The waiting room of the vaccination center of the Government KEM Hospital was almost empty at around 10.30 am. A staff of the vaccination center said that today only 15 to 20 people have come since the beginning of the process. "He said that one or two registered beneficiaries are coming in five to 10 minutes intervals.
A doctor at the center said that the number of people was small in the morning, but it is gradually increasing. He told that the center will be open till 5 pm. Some of the health workers who have been asked to go to KEM Hospital to get vaccinated said that they received the vaccination related phone call between 8:30 AM and 11:30 PM on Monday. In addition, some registered beneficiaries said they did not receive any message regarding vaccination, while some beneficiaries said they received the message on Tuesday morning. A health worker who came to get the vaccine said that I got a call regarding vaccination at 11:30 pm on Monday, but no message was received about this. A senior district health official said that in Pune, vaccination started in 28 out of 31 centers on Tuesday. Health Head of Pune Municipal Corporation, Dr. Ashish Bharti said that vaccination could not be started in three centers due to some technical problem. He said that we are trying to solve the technical problem in all three centers. On the first day of vaccination in Pune, out of 3,100 registered beneficiaries, 1802 beneficiaries got vaccinated.
