Defense Ministry Postpones Rajnath’s 2-Day Visit to Sri Lanka

According to a government statement released on Friday night, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s two-day trip to Sri Lanka scheduled to commence on September 2 has been postponed owing to unforeseen circumstances.

The military ministry sent a press statement earlier in the day outlining Singh’s travel to Sri Lanka, which will take place on September 2 and 3.

The ministry released a new statement that said, “Due to unavoidable circumstances, the visit of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Sri Lanka stands deferred to a later date.”

Rajnath Singh is still dedicated to fostering close bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and India. He eagerly anticipates going to the island country as soon as feasible,” it stated.
