Dewas: Bulldozer ran on two-storey house of absconding accused of cow slaughter

On the morning of 8 May, the mutilated remains of several cows were found in a field near Dam in Deoli. After this there was a crowd of villagers on the spot, activists of Hindu organizations reached the spot. Police force also came from Sonkach including Tonkkhurd. The police had registered a case against unknown accused in the case. A few hours after the incident, Hindu organizations, former MLA Rajendra Verma and supporters took out an anger rally and gheraoed the Tonkkhurd police station. During this, there was also a scuffle with the police. The police had set up several teams to trace the accused and then the accused Wasim father Anwar Mewati, Zaheer father Saheed Qureshi, residents of Tonkkhurd only. Jameel's father Rais Qureshi was arrested on the night of 9 May. One of his fellow officers involved in the incident, Naita Polay, a resident of Ali, was missing, whose clue is not being found. The police has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for his arrest. Bulldozer was run on the house of the same accused on Saturday. At the same time, the police have also started preparations to impose Rasuka against the three accused who have been caught. All three have been involved in cow slaughter cases in the past as well.
