District of Bilaspur leads in e-office operations
According to authorities on Sunday, the district of Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh has emerged victorious in the state’s e-office operation.
Data from the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance shows that up to 24,532 files were handled by the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the Bilaspur district using e-office by the end of January.
The DC office in Chamba placed third, having cleared 13,243 papers, while the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Shimla processed 13,877 files online to take second place. On July 19, 2023, the government launched the e-office system in an effort to increase efficiency and transparency across all government departments.
Abid Hussain Sadiq, the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, said that the district should be proud of its achievement of being the first in e-office functioning.
