Election Results for the Lok Sabha 2024: Phase 4 Turnout Up to 11 AM: 24.78%, J&K Reports Lowest Voting So Far

The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is now in the voting phase. Nine states, one union territory, and 96 seats have been polled in this round. Voter turnout was 24.87 percent as of 11 a.m. Several well-known candidates are running in this round, including Mahua Moitra, the head of the TMC, and Akhilesh Yadav, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.

AIMIM head Asaduddin Owaisi, actor Allu Arjun, and former vice president Venkaiah Naidu were among those who cast ballots on Monday, May 13. Mohan Yadav, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, also voted at a Ujjain voting place.

Monday’s vote should be cast in big numbers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, adding that it is everyone’s responsibility to uphold India’s democracy. “Today marks the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, with polling for 96 seats spread across 10 States and Union Territories. I have no doubt that a sizable number of individuals from these areas will cast ballots, with women and young voters driving this rise. Come on, let’s all do our part to uphold democracy,” Prime Minister Modi said on X, formerly Twitter.

In the meantime, elections are taking place in 17 Telangana constituencies and all 25 Andhra Pradesh seats. Thirteen seats in Uttar Pradesh, eleven in Maharashtra, eight in West Bengal, eight in Madhya Pradesh, five in Bihar, four in Jharkhand and Odisha, and one in Jammu and Kashmir are also up for vote.

Up to 11 a.m., Andhra Pradesh reported 23.10 percent of voters casting ballots for the 25 Lok Sabha seats. The Andhra Pradesh seats that were put to vote today are: Araku (ST); Rajahmundry; Narsapuram; Eluru; Machilipatnam; Vijayawada; Guntur; Narasaraopet; Bapatla (SC); Ongole; Nandyal; Kurnool; Nellore; Thirupati (SC); Rajampet; Chittoor (SC); Hindupur; Anantapur; Kadapa. YS Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy, is running for office on a Congress ticket from Kadapa. She is engaged in combat for the seat with her YSRCP relative, YS Avinash Reddy.

Elections in Bihar, Lok Sabha, 2024
Twenty-five percent of voters cast ballots in Bihar as of eleven a.m. Five seats in Bihar—Darbhanga, Ujiarpur, Samastipur, Begusarai, and Munger—went to polls in the fourth phase of the election. Giriraj Singh, a union minister, is running for reelection from Begusarai, Bihar.

Up to 11 a.m., 14.94 percent of voters in the union territory cast ballots. In the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha election of 2024, voting is taking place for the Srinagar seat.

Jharkhand Up to 11 a.m., Jharkhand saw a turnout of 27.40 percent for the LOK Sabha Election 2024. In Jharkhand, there will be votes in four seats on Monday: Singhbhum, Khunti, Lohardaga, and Palamau. Arjun Munda, a union minister and former chief minister of Jharkhand, is running in the Khunti constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha Election.

MADHYA PRADESH Election of Lok Sabha 2024
Three2.38% of voters cast ballots in MP as of eleven a.m. The MP seats of Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsour, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone, and Khandwa are those where the fourth phase of voting is now taking place.

Election of Maharashtra Lok Sabha 2024
Voting in Maharashtra was observed to be 17.51% up till 11 am. The Maharashtra constituencies that are voting in this phase are: Aurangabad, Maval, Nandurbhar, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi, and Beed.

ODISHA LOK SABHA ELECTION 2024 Up to 11 a.m., 23.28 percent of voters in Odisha cast ballots. On Monday, May 13, votes will be cast in four Odisha seats: Kalahandi, Nabarangpur (ST), Berhampur, and Koraput (ST).

ELECTION OF TELANGANA LOK SABHA 2024
In Telangana, 24.31% of voters turned out till 11 a.m. Adilabad (ST), Peddapalli (SC), Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Zahirabad, Medak, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Chevella, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool (SC), Bhongir, Warangal (SC), Mahbubabad (ST), and Khammam are the constituencies of Telangana that will be voting. The BJP has selected actor-turned-politician Madhavi Latha from Hyderabad, Telangana, to challenge AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi. Bandi Sanjay Kumar of the BJP is battling out of Karimnagar, Telangana.

UTTAR PRADESH Voting in the LOK Sabha Election 2024 Up to 11 am saw 27.12% of the total. Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Dharuhara, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur, and Bahraich (SC) are the UP seats that went to elections in the fourth phase. In this phase, Akhilesh Yadav is running from the state’s Kannauj seat.

Election of West Bengal Lok Sabha 2024
West Bengal had the greatest voter turnout to date, with 32.78% of the total casting ballots till 11 a.m. In this phase of the election process, the following West Bengal seats went to polls: Baharampur, Krishnanagar, Ranaghat, Asansol, Bolpur, Birbhum, Bardhaman Purba, and Bardhaman-Durgapur. In Baharampur, West Bengal, veteran Congress politician Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary and TMC candidate and former Indian cricket player Yusuf Pathan are engaged in combat. Nirmal Kumar is the BJP’s nominee for the position. TMC has fielded actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol, West Bengal.
