BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's remarks against Prophet Muhammad

On Saturday, the National Conference (NC) demanded action against Sharma for his remarks. Youth National Conference provincial president Salman Ali Sagar said the party expressed dismay at the BJP spokesperson's "blasphemous, objectionable and hurtful" remarks against Prophet Muhammad. He said the BJP and the central government should offer an unqualified apology for such profane remarks in which the most sacred name for Muslims was used to incite communal sentiments.

Nupur Sharma was threatened with death

BJP leader Nupur Sharma on Saturday made several serious allegations, saying that she is getting death threats for her comments on social media. There is a so-called fact-checker who started spoiling the atmosphere by posting a heavily edited and selected video from one of my debates last night. Since then, I have been receiving death and rape threats, including threats to behead myself and my family member.

He further said that taking some threats seriously, I have tagged the Commissioner of Police and Delhi Police on social media. I suspect that I and my immediate family members may be harmed. If there is any loss to me/my family members, then I feel that Mohd Zubair, who I believe is the owner of Alt News, is solely responsible.
