First-time voters in the Andhra Pradesh area of Rayalaseema are eager to cast their ballots

A fervor of excitement was seen when a number of first-time voters enthusiastically exercised their constitutional right to vote on Monday, spreading across the Rayalaseema area and Nellore district.

Many of these young people felt a sense of pride and duty as they cast their first ballots. But there was also a real feeling of anticipation and urgency among the enthusiasm. First-time voters made their demands known, calling for responsible government and decisive action on urgent social challenges. “I’m thrilled to use my right to vote for the first time,” said Sathwika, a Tirupati city newbie voter. Policies that put the development of jobs, women’s safety, and sector-wide changes first are what we need. We anticipate that leaders will keep the pledges they made throughout their campaign,” she said.

They emphasized the need for responsive government as well as the openness and integrity of the democratic process. “I wish to choose a forward-thinking leader who will tackle the problems encountered by the people,” said K Sriram, a new voter from the Atmakur area of the Nellore district. He believed that although young people need to make educated selections before casting their votes, leaders need to create comprehensive development strategies.

Another first-time voter from Tirupati city, S Saraswati, emphasized her autonomous voting style by saying she made her choice without consulting her friends or family. She acknowledged that voting is “not just a right, but a profound responsibility” and that, as first-time voters, we have the power to change the course of our country. I made my decision on my own, free from any interference.

Most first-time voters were patient as they waited in line at voting places throughout the day, especially in cities like Tirupati, Nellore, Atmakur, Kavali, and Sullurpeta.

Anshu Mallika, a first-time voter who expressed her thankfulness for the democratic right to participate in the election process, is the daughter of YSRC Nagari contestant RK Roja. She said, “I feel privileged to be able to exercise this democratic right and to participate in the process of choosing our representatives.”

Similar to this, first-time voters in the Chittoor district enthusiastically participated in the voting process and shared their experiences. It was evident that first-time voters were excited to be casting their votes in the middle of the busy polling places. Numerous individuals conveyed their enthusiasm for engaging in the political process and underscored the significance of their vote in molding the destiny of the country. Selfie stands were put up at voting places, and voters of all ages made use of them to record moments of civic participation and post them on social media.
