Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, arrived in Shimla on Saturday after receiving treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi.
The weather in Delhi and Shimla was not conducive to his scheduled return on Friday, so the plan was shelved. Weather prevented Sukhu’s chopper from taking flight from Delhi.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, together with Cabinet members Anirudh Singh, Rohit Thakur, and Harshwardhan Chauhan, gave the chief minister a rousing welcome at Annadale.
The chief minister’s health is getting better, and the physicians at AIIMS Delhi have given him permission to return to Shimla, where he will spend Diwali in the state capital, according to chief minister Naresh Chauhan, the ministry’s media adviser, who spoke to the PTI on Friday.
Sukhu complained of stomach trouble and abdominal pain, leading to his admission to the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital (IGMCH) in Shimla on October 25. He was airlifted to Delhi and admitted to AIIMS two days later.
