Full dress rehearsal for MILAN 2024 impresses onlookers

Tuesday’s captivating full-dress rehearsal for the International City Parade, which took place along the famous RK Beach, was watched by the whole city. The exercise’s anticipated multiculturalism and marine power were vividly shown throughout the practice. Over 2,000 employees from several Navies proudly marched in unison, embodying the essence of global collaboration.

Marching bands from India and other participating countries mesmerized the crowd, as patriotic music filled the air. Vice Adm. Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, examined the occurrence. Schoolchildren’s and Sea Cadets’ performances were also included during the occasion. The municipal parade and air demo’s last event is set on February 22.

As the MILAN 2024 Dress Rehearsal took place, the beach length from the Park Hotel to the Coastal Battery exuded a lively mood that drew interested observers.

A number of bands participated in the City Parade; the Indian Sea Cadet Corps Band led the way, followed by the Indian Naval Band, Indian Air Force Band, Indian Sea Cadet Corps, Indian Coast Guard, Indian Air Force, Indian Army, and Indian Navy. In addition, contingents from the following countries participated in the parade: Vietnam, Thailand, the Sri Lanka Naval Band, the Seychelles, Russia, Myanmar, Mauritius, Malaysia, Indonesia, France, Bangladesh, the AP Special Force, the AP Police, the AP Police Band, Veterans, the National Cadet Corps, and others.

Astonished spectators watched as ships, helicopters, and other aircraft performed deft maneuvers during the Operational Demonstration, which included mock beach assaults carried out by marine commandos.

With skill, each part displayed the Navy’s many skills, from skydiving to fleet ship maneuvers. A bystander said, “The sight of Vikramaditya added an extra layer of excitement, even though the city parade was noteworthy.”
