“If Modi is re-elected, eating mutton and chicken will be banned”: DMK leader’s viral video

Vial video of the DMK leader: Political parties all around the country enjoy disparaging and insulting their rivals. During the election season, it quickly increases as allegations, counterclaims, and strange, absurd assertions are made.

A similar video featuring a Tamil Nadu-based politician of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has gone viral on social media. In it, he is seen asserting that harsh limits on people’s food choices would be imposed by the current Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, should he win the election a third time. He continues by declaring that he would outlaw chicken and mutton.

It’s said that Chennai is where the video was filmed.

Similar to the 2019 elections, Tamil Nadu, which has 39 Lok Sabha seats, will have a single phase of voting on April 19.

On the first day of the elections, April 19, all 39 of the state’s seats are slated to go to polls in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu.

With 39 Lok Sabha seats, Tamil Nadu has the fifth-highest number of seats overall. Of these, 32 are open, while seven are set aside for candidates from the SC.

With 38 of the 39 seats, the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance won a resounding win in the 2019 elections.
