In Assam, Prime Minister Modi of the BJP turned the Northeast from a source of difficulties to opportunities

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that while the Congress had caused issues in the Northeast, the BJP has turned it into a source of opportunity.

Speaking at a sizable gathering in Nalbari, Assam, the prime minister said that separatism in the Northeast had been fostered by the Congress party.

“Modi’s promise is being seen by the Northeast. The BJP turned the area into a source of opportunities, whereas the Congress merely brought issues. The Congress promoted secession. The PM said, “Modi embraced the Northeast.”

He said that he made an effort to maintain security and tranquility in the area and claimed to have achieved things that the Congress had failed to do for 60 years.

“My resolve is your dream,” Modi said to the assembly.

He said that Congress’s hold on power had imprisoned the area. He said, “Assam is benefiting from Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash now that the grip is loosening.”

He stated that the BJP administration organized nationwide celebrations to mark the 400th anniversary of the birth of the legendary warrior of Assam, General Lachit Borphukan.

“Modi is the gamocha of Assam’s brand ambassador. The Congress ridicules me for dressing traditionally from Assam. The PM said that the Congress does not give a damn about the opinions of the Assamese people.

He remarked, pointing to the sizable gathering, that everyone in the nation is watching what happens on June 4. “People say 4 June, 400 paar, because of this,” he said.

“Friends, in 2014, Modi approached you with optimism. The PM said, “I came to you in 2019 with faith and today I am here with assurances.

He said that the BJP adheres to the maxim “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash” and that Modi’s assurance included keeping the pledges.

“NDA programs do not discriminate against anybody. Everybody will get one of the more than three crore dwellings that we have planned to construct during the next five years. You will continue to get a free ration without any prejudice for the next five years,” he said.

He emphasized the BJP’s pledge to make Ayushman Bharat available to all senior citizens over the age of 70.

“We want to transform 3 crore ladies into ‘Lakhpati Didi’s. The farmers of Assam are taken care of by our government. We have raised the kharif crops’ MSP. Our programs have benefited thousands of farmers in this area. The state’s farmers received around Rs 5,400 crore under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The PM said, “The BJP has decided to continue this scheme.”

The BJP is running for 11 of the state’s 14 Loksabha seats in the next election. Asom Gana Parishad, an ally of the NDA, will run for two seats, while UPPL will run for one.
