In Dehradun, Uttarakhand, a vehicle plunges down a canyon near Shikhar Fall, killing two and injuring three

The automobile they were traveling in plunged down a steep canyon near Shikhar Fall in the Rajpur region on Monday morning, injuring three people and killing two people, including a lady, according to authorities.

Five people, mostly locals, were returning from the Shikhar Fall when the accident occurred at approximately three thirty in the morning, according to Sub-Inspector Sumer Singh of the Rajpur police station, who spoke to PTI.

The prominent waterfall in the vicinity is called Shikhar Fall, and it’s around 13 miles from Dehradun.

According to Singh, a man and a lady were immediately slain.

The wounded were extracted from the wrecked automobile by a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) crew, who then hurried them to Dehradun hospitals.

According to him, two of them are receiving care at the Max Hospital and one at Coronation Hospital. According to the SI, the car’s brakes seemed to have failed before the collision happened.

The dead were named as Avni Kukreti, 29, who lived in the Cantonment area of Dehradun and operated a café on Mussoorie Road, and Ayush Sharma, 30, who was from the Dalanwala neighborhood.

Yuvraj Bisht (33), Isha (28), and Delhi resident Sagar Narula (29), were named as the wounded.
