In instances involving Himachal Pradesh paper leaks, the CBI searches 50 places across seven states

According to sources, the CBI searched 50 sites across seven states on Tuesday as part of its investigation into two instances involving the theft of test papers for the constable recruitment process in Himachal Pradesh.

On November 30, 2022, the agency filed two First Information Reports (FIRs) in response to a request from the state government to take over the investigation of crimes looked into by the state police.

It has come to light that a number of middlemen located across states leaked the test questions ahead of the March 27, 2022, written exams for the position of Constable in the Himachal Pradesh Police.

It has been claimed that middlemen with offices across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab were working in an organized way to leak the test papers.

According to authorities, the applicants received the documents in exchange for a sizable sum of money.
