In Tennessee, a vehicle slides into a farm well, killing two brothers and injuring four more

Early on Saturday morning, two brothers from Chennai, Y Pratheeshwaran, 10, and Y Hariprasad, 8, perished when the autorickshaw they were riding in lost control, broke through, and plunged into a farm well close to Gingee. Four other people who were in the car with the dead, including his parents and other relatives, managed to escape hurt.

According to Anandapuram police, S Yuvaraj, 35, of Nungambakkam, Chennai, was returning by autorickshaw from Tiruvannamalai after taking part in the Girivalam ritual with his wife, Y Sathya (30), kids, Pratheeshwaran and Hariprasad, and relatives, K Rudrakumar (30) and his wife, R Ponni (20). The car was being driven by Yuvaraj.

They were traveling to Kappai, a hamlet close to Gingee, the home of his in-laws. Yuvaraj lost control of the car on the Mavattanpadi-Kappai road, and it crashed into a neighboring farm well, burst through the wall, and plunged into it, according to police sources.

The people called the fire department and the police after hearing the loud collision. The adults were quickly saved and sent to Gingee’s government hospital to get medical attention.

After an hour-long search, the two boys’ corpses were located and submitted for postmortem analysis.

After the police filed a case, further research is being done.
