In the Hamirpur district, diarrhea affects 223 people

An epidemic of diarrhea has allegedly infected up to 223 people in the district’s Tauni Devi neighborhood. The epidemic of diarrhea is thought to have been caused by polluted water supplies in the region. There have been up to 27 villages with 12 gram panchayats impacted. Bari Mandir, Utpur, Gwardu, Narsin, Charian-di-Dhar, Neri, Pahunj, Patnaun, Uhal, Drogan-pati-Kot, Lag-Kadiar, and Sikander Nuhara are the panchayats that are impacted.

Ninety-five instances were first reported yesterday. Today, there were 128 patients afflicted at the civic hospital in Tauni Devi. Ten people have recovered, according to the Chief Medical Officer’s health bulletin.

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. RK Agnihotri, said that a report has not yet been received despite four water samples being submitted for microbiological testing.

Teams from the health department were mobilized in the interim. The members of the team went to the impacted communities. He claimed that ORS and chlorine pills were given out by the health staff. It was suggested that they sip boiling water.
